IEEE PES Kerala Chapter hosted an offline meet-up at Ashtamudi Lake, Kollam, to celebrate and thank the 2020 Student Team Volunteers for their selfless service and exemplary contributions towards the Chapter. The meet-up was conducted in the presence of IEEE PES ExeCom members 2020, IEEE PES Young Professionals Kerala, and IEEE PES Student Leadership Team 2021 as guests. The presence of Er. A K Suhair, Chairperson of IEEE PES Kerala Chapter, Er. Ajith Gopi, Vice-Chairperson, Dr. Boby Philip, Secretary, Er. Anandhu S Kumar, Student Activities Coordinator, and Er. K S Saran, PES YP Activity Coordinator, made the event more authentic and memorable.

The meeting started with a presentation by Mr. Nithin V M, Student representative, IEEE PES Kerala Chapter Student Leadership Team 2020, as well as WiP Student Representative, Ms. Hamna Sunil on the Student Activities of the past year. Later, the meeting continued with Er. A K Suhair’s speech, which took us through the history of the IEEE PES Kerala Chapter. It was followed by an idea presentation, as per the instructions of Er. Ajith Gopi. The volunteers were grouped into four, and each group was asked to present their technical ideas, which they were to prepare in the given time. The discussion had a break for lunch and was continued later. Many innovative ideas including, an Ideathon with mentors, Techforum, improving the practical side of students, Reverse Engineering, and adopting Smart Village were presented in the end.

The meeting continued with a casual but technical group discussion. The event was adjourned successfully with the certificate distribution of IEEE PES Kerala Chapter Student Leadership Team 2020.
