In the wake of COVID -19, IEEE PES RSET SBC in association with IEEE PES Kerala Chapter and IEEE EMBS Kerala Chapter conducted a webinar on Engineering in Healthcare and Public Health Facilities. Through the webinar participants got to know that when the world is going through such an awful crisis, it is our job as responsible citizens and more importantly as future engineers to do something to ease this situation.

Our speaker for the day was Dr. Jithesh K.A. After pursuing MBBS from Amrita School of Medicine, he did his Masters in Medical Science and Technology from IIT Kharagpur. He worked as State Consultant in Biomedical Engineering and State Nodal Officer (Health and Wellness Centre) to National Health Mission, Kerala and Technical Consultant to eHealth Kerala Project. These are merely a few of the achievements he has attained so far. Dr. Jithesh is presently working as the Medical superintendent of District Hospital Mavelikara, Alappuzha.

On behalf of the IEEE PES SBC of RSET, we invited all to broaden their  awareness and to gain knowledge. Only then can we complete our roles as responsible engineers of the future. This Event was open to all.
