The IEEE PES Kerala Chapter hosted the second edition of the PES YP Research Conclave 2025 – Empower EV Future on July 26, 2025, at the National Institute of Technology Calicut. This event featured a technical session on Next-Gen Motor Design for Automotives: Emerging Trends and Industry-Driven Innovations. The session was led by Ms. Priyanka C P, Senior Engineer – Motor Design & Testing at BorgWarner, IPEC Bengaluru. Participants gained valuable insights into the newest motor technologies and the challenges shaping the EV innovation landscape. The conclave provided an opportunity for attendees to interact with an industry expert and deepen their understanding of cutting-edge developments. Ms. Priyanka C P shared her extensive knowledge and experience, focusing on the emerging trends and industry-driven innovations crucial for the future of electric vehicles. Women of Wisdom (WOW 6.0) – Tech-Talk Series; Session 5

The IEEE PES Kerala Chapter, in collaboration with IEEE Women in Power Kerala, IEEE WiE AG Kerala Section, IEEE Women in Power Region 10, and IEEE PES SBC MESCE, successfully presented “Women of Wisdom (WOW 6.0) – Tech-Talk Series; Session 5” on June 17th, 2025. The event featured Dr. Rashmi Agarwal, Chair of IEEE WiE AG, Delhi Section, Associate Professor at JC Bose University of Science & Technology, President of the Institute’s Innovation Council, R10 Women in Power Member, YP Sub-committee Member (India Council), and SIGHT Committee Member, as the speaker. The session was held online from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM IST.Dr. Agarwal led a thought-provoking discussion on “EV: A Symbiotic Future,” exploring the electric vehicle ecosystem, its opportunities, challenges, and pathways to sustainable mobility. Participants engaged actively, gaining valuable insights into the evolving landscape of EVs. The event was organized to empower and share knowledge, fostering innovation, collaboration, and collective growth within the tech community.
