GRIHAGYOTHI: Basics of Electrical Skills Date: 26th April 2025 Time: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM Venue: EEE Seminar Hall, MES College of Engineering, Kuttippuram The IEEE Power & Energy Society Student Branch Chapter (PES SBC) of MES College of Engineering successfully conducted a one-day workshop titled GRIHAGYOTHI: Basics of Electrical Skills on 26th April 2025. The event was organized in collaboration with IEEE Malabar Subsection and IEEE PES Kerala Chapter, and was specifically designed for members of the Kudumbashree unit. This initiative aimed to empower participants by providing foundational knowledge in electrical systems, with a strong emphasis on hands-on learning and practical demonstrations. The workshop not only focused on developing essential technical skills but also served as a platform to foster self-confidence and independence among the attendees. Participants actively engaged throughout the full-day session, gaining insights into basic electrical tools, wiring techniques, and safety precautions. The success of the workshop was reflected in the enthusiastic participation and positive feedback received, marking it as a meaningful step toward community empowerment and technical literacy. The event highlighted the commitment of IEEE PES MESCE and its partners to bridge the knowledge gap and support grassroots skill development, especially among women.
